Introduction: The Transition from Narasimha to Vamana

While Prahlada was a devotee, his grandson, Bali Chakravarti, though noble, became overly ambitious, leading to the necessity of the Vamana Avatar.
Part 1: The Incarnation of Lord Vamana (వామన అవతార జననం)

- The Reason: King Bali, the grandson of Prahlada, conquered all three worlds (Earth, Heaven, and Netherworld), defeating Indra and the Devas.
- Aditi's Penance: Aditi, the mother of the Devas, performed severe penance (Payovrata) to Lord Vishnu to restore her sons' kingdom.
- The Birth: Lord Vishnu, pleased by Aditi, took birth as her son in the form of a dwarf Brahmin boy, known as Vamana, on the day of Shravana Dwadashi.
- The Upanayana: Sage Kashyapa performed the sacred thread ceremony (Upanayana) for Vamana. Different gods gifted him essential items: Brahma gave a Kamandala (water pot), Sun god gave the Gayatri Mantra, and Mother Earth gave a deerskin.
Part 2: Vamana's Visit to Bali's Yagna (వామనుడి యాగ సందర్శనం)

- Bali's Yagna: King Bali was performing his 100th Ashwamedha Yagna at Bhrigukachchha (present-day Gujarat). If completed, his power would become unstoppable.
- Vamana's Approach: The young Vamana arrived at the sacrifice. His divine appearance drew the attention of everyone. Even Bali Chakravarti welcomed him with respect, not knowing who he was.
- Bali's Offer: Pleased with the dwarf Brahmin's presence, Bali offered to grant him anything he wanted, saying, "Ask for anything: gold, cows, land, or women."
Part 3: The Three Steps: Vamana becomes Trivikrama (మూడడుగుల నేల: వామనుడి విశ్వరూపం)

- Trivikrama: In his first step (Trivikrama), he covered the entire Earth (Bhu Loka). In his second step, he covered all of Heaven (Svarga Loka).
Part 4: The Third Step & Bali's Surrender (మూడవ అడుగు & బలి శరణాగతి)

- Vamana's Demand: Vamana, in his colossal Trivikrama form, asked Bali, "I have taken two steps. One on Earth, one in Heaven. Now, show me the place for the third step."
- Bali's Dilemma: There was no place left. Bali realized he was trapped. If he broke his promise, he would commit adharma.
- Surrender: Bali Chakravarti understood that he had surrendered his kingdom, but not his own self. He bowed his head and said, "Lord, place your third step on my head. I offer myself."
- Push to Sutala: Vamana placed his foot on Bali's head and pushed him down to Sutala (a special region in the netherworld).
- Divine Guards: Pleased with Bali's absolute surrender (Self-realization), Lord Vamana granted him a boon to become a Indra in the next Manvantara and promised to remain his gatekeeper in Sutala.
